Week 2 Recap
The Dinks and Drives Are Heating Up at the USSP Spring Social League
Another fantastic Tuesday is in the books for the US Senior Pickleball (USSP) Spring Social League! Yesterday, our amazing community of players returned to Center Court for Week 2, and the energy was absolutely electric. If Week 1 was all about knocking off the rust, Week 2 was all about strategy, placement, and turning up the heat!
It’s clear that the “Fun, Fitness, and Friendship” motto is in full swing. Here is a quick recap of how the second week of our Spring Social League played out.

Week 2 Highlights
- Incredible Matchups: The groupings featured some highly competitive games. It’s great to see players adapting to new partners and communicating so effectively on the court.
- Camaraderie Over Cutthroat: While the score lines were tight, the sportsmanship was the real winner. There were plenty of paddle taps, shared laughs over net-cord rolls, and post-game socializing off the courts.
Current Standings & Progression
Because this is a Social League, our primary focus is always on court time and community connection rather than a rigid leaderboard. Players are successfully embracing the groupings arranged by skill level.

Each week the player atop the leaderboard will receive a gift card for their choice of a league T-Shirt of a custom shirt from Creative by DeZine, A.K.A Shirley Schroeder.
- Week 1 winner – Susan Rodriguez
- Week 2 winners _ Barry Houg and Rita Powell
Looking Ahead to Week 3
We are already a third of the way through the 6-week spring session! As a reminder, Week 3 will take place next Tuesday, April 21st, from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM back at Center Court.
- Tip for next week: Please continue to arrive 15-20 minutes early so we can get everyone checked in, warmed up, and assigned to their starting courts right at 9:00 AM.
Keep hydrating, stretch out those muscles, and we will see you all next Tuesday ready to dink, drop, and drive!
